Konnichiwa.
Call me senji in short. I love Japanese culture. I am
not an expert in Japanese and I just work based on my knowledge and study. Many of the words here I found the meaning during watching or reading the manga (yes, I force myself reading manga in real Japanese as long furigana is included hehe-hehe). The rest are by studying and observing kanji.
When in doubt, I use some sources as references like popjisyo, smartphone applications and books.
I skip the needs of hiragana & katakana writing because knowing them is considered basic. However kanji can be confusing because the different kanji can create same sound. In the future, if I have time I would love to put some kanji trick, so you can easily remember them.
I also skip the complete transformation of verbs because that would be a lot of work. Hopefully I would do some day. For now, I still focus on gathering the words.
In any way I try to link the word to anime, manga, dorama, and j-pop. Making association is easier to memorize things. Like, if I say 'saku', I already unconsciously connect it to 'sakura', and 'sakura wo saku' means sakura blooms. However, seeing kanji of 'saku' (咲く bloom) and 'fuku' (吹く blow - for wind) may be confusing because of similarity of writing. So this is where I play around with association.
Thank you for reading and please keep coming and see how much had you know about Japanese words and compare your knowledge to what I wrote here (^_^)
Ganbatte, ne!
